Explain why the head of the CDC admitted under oath, in cordial, not adversarial questioning by a very polite Senator (and properly so, for a change), that she does not know the number or rate of severe adverse events. There is no question that for anyone over 30 and healthy, not getting vaccinated is a crap shoot. They are taking a risk. COVID is rarely serious under 30, but by 50 it is a big deal. What they don't know is the risk on the other side, because Pfizer, the FDA, and the CDC refuse to tell. It is also obvious that COVID is generally curable, and the very wealthy have no problem getting treated. Open your eyes. Trump, Chris Christie, Nancy P maskless getting her roots done, Gavin at the French restaurant, AOC at the Met. They are furious with Joe Rogan for letting the cat out of the bag.

  15.  @M.J.80  That's great! There's every reason to be hopeful. I'm so sorry this happened. I was born with a trivial heart murmur and developed arrhythmias due to medical error, so I cringe when I hear any young person has to deal with these problems at all! My heart murmur improved on its own and is insignificant now. This is what usually happens, at least to some degree. I wish I had been told that. Well, you can imagine. All the best. :)

  19. This is how science should be approached. A higher risk post-vaccination is not proof of causation. A lot of things are possible: people who had COVID prior to vaccination, or were exposed to COVID after vaccination and did not know it, might be at much higher risk. The lack of careful investigation and candor by the CDC et al. is infuriating.

  35.  @theopeterbroers819 Assuming the numbers are being carefully reported. Unfortunately, that, too, is an issue, as is the risk relative to variant. But the larger point, that we must compare the risks of vaccination with the risks of disease, is of course exactly right. Also, as alluded to here, might the Oxford-Astra Zeneca vaccine have a better safety profile for young men, but not women? These are important questions.
