Just checked, new cases are still declining in the US. I wonder if we all count the same way.

@btudrus Agree in part, of course; this is a novel virus. This variant, however, presents much like the flu in a patient. Thank God.

Be sure to read David Servan-Schreiber's book; he lived a full life with terminal brain cancer for nearly two decades. No one gets out of this alive. He lived well before he died.

@KiwikimNZ And what's also strange, some very old people as they age seem to lose susceptibility to cancer. There have been studies of this done at the level of the immune system. Queen Elizabeth's mother is a classic case: had two forms of cancer around ages 50 or 60, then lived past 100 even though she drank. Not to excess, but the customary way in their culture. Older people with the means have a cocktail before dinner and a little wine with. No doctor will tell you that it's all right for a woman who had breast cancer, or a daughter of a woman who did. But as we can see, it's not so cut and dried. Anyway, this is why most women at 80 do not need an annual mammogram. Their peak risk was almost 20 years ago. People can still have it, but it's not urgent anymore, or it may be every other year.
