Common for this to happen to women. I needed a tiny dose of a beta blocker, too. This can happen at any age, and need not be related to coronary artery disease.

@robuk3723 There is no beta blocker "for anxiety." Nor is that a common off-label use.

@poempadgett4664 Beta blockers are NOT anxiety medications. That is not even a common off-label use. Arrhythmia is a heart condition, and like all heart conditions, anxiety will have a harmful affect on it, and will need to be treated in some judicious manner.

@robuk3723 Actual, clinical arrhythmia is not due to anxiety. It is, however, exacerbated greatly by anxiety -- more so than most illnesses are; often more than high blood pressure is. But it is not a psychological or emotional disorder. People may not even know they have it without a Holter monitor. Most people know if they're anxious. Pretty well all know, absent severe psychosis.
