  1. Mad? Please. What psychosis first makes its appearance at age 69-70? We do know what Putin is thinking.. Putin is holding back because he has no choice. See the Andrew Cockburn interview on Democracy Now! The West has the ideological hegemony to create "unworthy" victims. Russia does not have that. No one knows how many civilians the US killed across the Middle East and in Africa. Remember "Shock and Awe" (TM)? Ukrainian civilians matter to Russians, and the West can make them matter. This has been a painful reminder to the non-Western peoples who saw their loved ones dying and starving.
