@MrGuardianofhades I have, and I nevertheless agree. I was taking great gobs of antibiotics for chronic tonsillitis when absolutely no one would operate (and when I finally got them removed, my doctor was stunned by how infected they were). These antibiotics destroyed my normal microbiome. Only today do we know that can trigger a serious depression. I know this is just one possibility among many, but it is real. Look to what you're doing or not doing. Look to what terrible environment you are subjecting yourself to. Depressed people tend to blame themselves for everything, which means that this suggestion sounds like an attack. It isn't. I bore zero blame for the medical mistreatment I suffered. I bore zero blame for the horrible workplaces I was subjected to. In one case, a boss was later convicted of a felony. (I actually prevented a theft there, then quit. The big blowup happened after I left.) In another case, someone who had harassed me was later arrested.
