This lady is a hero, and a rock star. She had no way of knowing. Nothing like this ever happened to her. Dr. Campbell said it perfectly: she was philanthropic.

One incident per 100,000 like the one described by Brianne used to mean a pause in the approval. That was the standard for vaccines. We have anything from 10 to 120 per 100,000, depending on the study and the drug, and the threshold of seriousness, at this point -- at least 120, if you include subclinical myocarditis.

  26. I think she should be hopeful. It is much, much too soon to lose hope. Young, healthy people do regain their equilibrium, after horrendous illnesses. She is an amazing human being.
