Exactly. If someone is dangerous, the last thing to do is to be sincere.

There is one thing to try if this happens to you: practice being unattractive. Think about it. You can put on an act of not being desirable. There are ways. Make it seem like you aren't special. Claim you once had cancer and can't have children. Claim you are torn between liking men and women. Use your imagination. STOP feeling you need to be sincere. Pretend that "now I'm telling you the truth." Then lie. The point is to make him think he dropped you of his own volition. Make him think it was his idea to break up.

@POPCITY901 Thanks. When you are dealing with a dangerous, obsessed freak, you have got to make him think he dropped you. And then, you can't date for a while, because you cannot run into him, or risk it if he's still watching you, "to figure you out." Or, if you cannot live with such restrictions, then you have to move. It's all so sad.

@chplvr1328 Because every individual, man or woman, shy and meek or assertive and adventurous, has a right not to be killed by a deranged stalker. To that end, firearms laws are supposed to be enforced. The release of potentially dangerous people requires letting their victims know in advance.

@POPCITY901 Law enforcement and the courts will never, ever solve it for you. 😥

Here's an idea. There is something to try if this happens to you: practice being unattractive. The idea is to fool him into believing he decided to stop seeing you. Ladies, you can do this.

@georgiawhite8470 Martial arts? Against a gun? Are you serious? See my suggestion about making him think he's dropping you. Act unattractive. Drone on and on in a nasal voice. Tell him you need annual biopsies, and that you can't have kids because of cancer. When he's staring at you, pick your nose and pretend you're hiding it from him. Tell him you once liked girls, too. Tell him you sometimes throw up with men. Be creative. Above all, do not be sincere, do not be genuine, and do not say no. "No" is a challenge. It's virtue signaling for the spectators or the police. It's not going to save your life.

@georgiawhite8470 Martial arts? Against a firearm in the hands of a former soldier? Are you serious? This is from the 007 movies. See my suggestion about making him think he's dropping you. Act unattractive. Drone on and on in a nasal voice. Tell him you need annual biopsies and you're sick of it. Tell him that you can't have kids because of childhood cancer. When you know he's staring at you, pick your nose and pretend you're hiding it from him. Tell him you once liked women, too. Tell him you sometimes throw up with men but not with women. Be creative. Above all, do not be sincere, do not be genuine, and do not say no. "No" is a challenge. It's virtue signaling for the spectators or the police. It's not going to save you. The breakup will be "his idea."

@knowsmebyname Yes, I thought the same. But see my suggestion.

@SiViC74 Three dates? You're right. Just say no. Always say no. Don't date at all.

@nicholasschoonbeck6866 Look, it isn't all men. It is FAR too many men, true, but they are pathological. In a free society, you cannot stop them all before they act. Look at my suggestions. I'm assuming they are visible. Sincerity is overrated. No means no to normal people. Picking your nose, eating it, and throwing up means "no was my own idea, I'm done here" to a predator.

@nicholasschoonbeck6866 Too bad my reply to you just got the deep six, except if you sort by the Newest tab.

@brl0522 And real suggestions here are shadowed, too.

@nicholasschoonbeck6866 Too bad my reply is missing here, and my alerting you to that, ditto. Of course.

There is one thing a person could try: practice being unattractive. Repellant, in fact. You can put on an act of not being desirable. There are ways. Make it seem like you aren't special at all. Claim you once had cancer and can't have children, and that you're tired of getting biopsies twice a year. Claim you are torn between liking men and women. Drone on and on about nonsense, and don't be responsive to him. Complain about physical features you have, say they make you self-conscious and shy. Use your imagination. Most important: STOP feeling you need to be sincere. Pretend that "now I'm finally telling you the truth." Then lie. Make him think breaking up was his idea.
