Compassionate use, provided there is no solid evidence of harm ("first do no harm"), is a very common off-label use of approved drugs, and a common exception to the policy of using only drugs that are "proven safe and effective." For compassionate use, proven safe, with some possibility of effective, is sufficient. I don't understand their initial refusal.

  11. The neighborhoods you mention are EXPENSIVE neighborhoods, not safe ones. I never understood why they cost what they do. No one who grew up in the city proper has any desire to live in any of those areas, except maybe in parts of Lincoln Park, near the lake, or in River North, also near the lake. Those who do know to take precautions. When the economy gets dicey, the crime in those areas goes up.
