WHO believes this now? That the IOC didn't have the technology to determine her eligibility before she got to the Olympics? Or the grace to let her skate in peace, and sort things out afterwards? "You can skate. You may not medal no matter what you do." Congrats on the emotional destruction of a brilliant 15 year old, a true prodigy. Hope you're proud.

@TamNguyen-jp8bv It's not even "doping." That drug is cardioprotective. It cannot make you skate, or dance, or do any activity more artistically. She isn't track and field, dear.

Consider doing something to become more mature. For example, get more sleep, eat well, exercise, and read serious things. You have real writers. Spend some time with them. I'm serious. Bertrand Russell comes instantly to mind, but of course he is one of many.

@mikewhocheeseharry5292 Good points. You see them revise the list of banned substances all the time. This tells you a lot by itself. A cardioprotective drug isn't really "doping," but I wonder if the training regime is too harsh. If an athlete needs a medication to protect their heart, then there is something wrong in the sport that creates the danger to their heart in the first place. But the medication isn't making them run faster or jump higher. They are skaters.

The "winners" must have been thrilled to see her destruction -- if they are anything like you, that is. I still remember the time when the Canadians with America's help tried to destroy the Russian gold medalists in pairs skating. They did that to a woman skater who almost died from a skull fracture and came back. North Americans hate true grit. It shows them up.

@XLXBX You said "we have lost our moral compass . . . things will never be the same again." I was surprised to hear. King Charles has several problems the Queen never had, true enough. And the work ethic and stoicism of her generation is gone, so there's that as well. But all of that already happened decades ago.

Beautifully said.

@НаташаВасильева-е1о The US is full of haters now. People only talk about money, they never, ever mention love. When they say "success," they never mean real achievement, they mean money. A crypto currency trader is above a doctor, an artist without an advertising deal is a joke, a "successful" marriage is to someone rich. However bad you think it is, it's worse.

@kasiphia Queen Elizabeth II was never "in power."

@rosarosa8593 They do this every time there is a real star who emerges from a non-Five Eyes, non-NATO country. But then, consider the gymnastics sex abuse scandal. They eat their own, too.

@GrayEagle101 Do you know why this happened? I'm incensed just simply as an adult old enough to have a 15 year old grandchild! Fifteen is SO young, people forget how tender they were at that age. She herself is a minor, so cannot be responsible. That fact alone should cause them to be perfectly ethical and cautious. She is too young to handle this.

Why should rich people pay taxes? We can run deficits, and rich people can buy Treasury bonds, and then we can owe them interest payments on those bonds -- from our taxes. Sounds like a plan all right.

@Thatcntwiththecivic My first reaction as well. But we need to be compassionate.

@ceegabe1555 Try reading. Reading is good.

@ceegabe1555 Robot? Poseur? Merry pranks?

@nadating No need to go that far at this time.

@nadating Nor yours, that's for sure.
1
@nadating That would be hard.
1
@nadating Oh, I get it. I could stop answering you. You're right.

You were able to hear what he said? Great tech you've got.

@dianabaskin1944 A minor child cannot be held responsible. This is why all the adults around her, including IOC/WADA, have heightened responsibility to behave ethically, and to be careful not to damage her mental health. This was BRUTAL.

@sakurakumari7305 Age of majority exists for a reason.

@mikewhocheeseharry5292 Well, after the US gymnastics abuse scandal, I guess I'm not shocked by anything that may be done to the world's finest young people. The bottom already fell out, we're just deluded to expect better.

Yup. We are supposed to believe that the IOC didn't have the technology to determine her eligibility before she got to the Olympics? Or the grace to let her skate in peace, and sort things out afterwards? "You can skate. You may not medal no matter what you do." Congrats IOC on the emotional destruction of a brilliant 15 year old, a true prodigy. I don't remember the last time I was so disgusted. Oh wait, sure I do: Jeffrey Epstein, the abuse scandal in US women's gymnastics, the impoverishment and starvation of Afghanistan, . . . The list grows.

@mournblade1066 In the US, the president is Commander in Chief and head of one branch of the three branches of government. We have a written constitution. His ceremonial role is not prescribed, as the last president and the current one show you, right in the face.
1
@kasiphia I'm not the one who got it wrong.
