  4. This blew my mind: the closest (well, least distant) living descendant of the T Rex is . . . the chicken! Actually, the wild fowl from which all chickens were bred. They are native to southeast Asia, and look like colorful chickens. Crazy, lol.

  5. Actually, what I said was misstated. T Rex does not have any living direct descendants. It does have living relatives, with whom it shares a common ancestor relatively recently -- jungle fowl, which are the wild "cousins" of chickens. Way closer than, say, a brontosaurus and peacock, lol.

  21. Honestly do not think this is wise. A snake could unintentionally harm a child because its brain is not sufficiently advanced to comprehend what it's doing. There are safer ways for a child to interact with a python.

  24.  @BringDHouseDown  I eat cheese and eggs in moderation, wild caught fish when my doctor insists. Beans and mushrooms, of course. All organic or non-GMO. This is a very healthy diet. No one (or almost no one) needs mammal flesh to survive.
