  1. There was a story about a CEO the other day whose compensation package is $38 million per year. Do you know what that is? Over $4300 per hour -- for every single hour of every day of the year, waking, sleeping, holidays. Or, assume a 65 hour week, 52 weeks a year; that comes to about $11,240 per hour. Kindly explain who "earns" that. And it is dwarfed by that of the owners.

  2. I wish I had grown up in Russia. Zero discrimination against my ethnic group. Being discriminated against is never worth it. Also, the greatest math and piano teachers; ballet classes; serious literature and drama; AWESOME public transit. Maybe you like lots and lots of second-class stuff and self-congratulatory propaganda better. I don't.

What happened in France was even more radical than Professor Wolff mentions in this segment: there was a true general strike, then the firefighters started protecting the demonstrators from the police -- not just one time, but over and over, for weeks. THAT line was crossed. Of course Macron had to back down. He wouldn't have, but he had to. He is that bad.

  6. Why do people confuse capitalism with free markets? The possibility of free markets as described by Adam Smith was seriously undermined with the rise of the energy grid, and it ended with the Great Depression.
