I hope this helps: all the young people I knew (late teens to early 30s) who contracted any serious viral illness -- meningitis, mononucleosis, hepatitis A, pneumonia, and so forth -- needed a full year to feel like themselves again. But they did. I think you'll be okay. Please do not feel your life is forever altered. There is no reason to think so, I swear! Very warmest wishes to you.
