@justanothernick3984 Why is automatic "affirming" and social transition considered the correct approach for every child? Given the complexity of the human mind, human adolescence, and gender identity during this particular time -- or any time -- how could there possibly be one valid approach? Just a decade ago, transgenderism was a rarity. The fact that it is suddenly ubiquitous should lead us to ask questions, not inflict aggressive treatments that we cannot fully reverse. Since when do we not protect the future reproductive choices of every child? The only time we didn't was during the eugenics movement.

A good lawyer could prevent a child from being removed from her state of residence. There was appropriate care available in her home state.

@kwilloughby Perfect post.

@DavidPereiraLima123 When I needed counseling after a series of tragedies and bereavement, I kept being told I was fine (who is EVER told that?), and then getting referred to gay/lesbian therapists, one of whom was openly contemptuous. This was at a preeminent hospital. I'm fine now, although the pandemic derailed me, but getting better on my own took too long, frankly.

At one hour and twenty-eight minutes, not ONCE have I heard the word "love." Let's see about the rest.

@wakkablockablow6025 Oh you poor thing. All we hear in this video are words. We hear claims about actions. We see no actions, apart from a very pleasant handholding. I thought that was good.
1
@wakkablockablaw6025 ALL YOU ARE HEARING ARE WORDS. That's what this is, an interview.

@wakkablockablow6025 In this context, where they spoke for nearly two hours about their struggles, and their loss, yes. I expect to hear the word love. What? You think I endorse this gender cr@p? I think it's sheer madness, and in some cases criminal. You edited YOUR post to add "love." You got it right the first time, it was missing. They couldn't hire a private attorney, and then go to FACEBOOK? A brick short of a load.

@wakkablockablow6025 I see you edited your post to add "love." It was missing before. You had it right the first time. After nearly two hours of talking about struggles and loss, yes. I expect to hear "love." The stepmother stated their family is irreparably broken now and that they are going public for the sake of other kids. That struck me as rather odd.
1
@wakkablockablow6025 What do you imagine I think? That the gender nonsense is acceptable? I think it's lunacy.
1
@wakkablockablow6025 What people? Do you think I endorse gender ideology? Why?? When I say what I think of it, my post gets tossed.
1
@wakkablockablow6025 When someone says "you people . . ." I should just block them. I wasn't condescending, but you were contemptuous. I don't assume they don't love their daughter. I see evidence that they lack the skill to communicate love to her. If her birth mother did reject her, it could be important to say they love her, loud and clear.
1
@wakkablockablow6025 Why is it irreparable? Even Jordan Peterson pushed back on that one. The question wasn't about step-parenting at all, and you know it. If my child is on the cusp of destroying her entire future, she comes first. And second, and third . . . Other children come in at around 15th.

@wakkablockablow6025 Oops forgot to block.

Communists supported mathematics education, and believed in material reality.

@pisceananarchyvortex7223 The judge still has to rule based on the law and the facts. Removing a child not just from their parental home but from their home state is remarkable. Can a lawyer win every case? No. But there is no reason presented here that would make me think they would have lost this one. Do you seriously believe a rich family would have lost? The more you act like rich people do (by hiring a high-powered lawyer, getting a consultant for social media rather than embarking on it on your own, especially where the well being of a minor child is concerned), the better the result. I'm not saying it's fair. Obviously it isn't. I'm saying it is clearly doable.

Was this ever reported in the press? This is remarkable. Everyone should have an exit plan (emigration).

They sound idiotic to me. Instead of hiring a real lawyer, they take this to FACEBOOK??

Good observation
