  4.  @lesaamoore  Kim Iversen isn't defending Putin at all. Just this week she stated there is evidence that this invasion was a move against Western hegemony, and not at all to prevent the expansion of NATO, because no such expansion was imminent. Do you trust the New York Times? It reported a few days ago that the US was urging China for three months to influence Putin to practice restraint. Not only did China refuse to do so, it opened a back channel to denounce the US efforts to Putin himself. This supports Kim's view. I have found no evidence that anything Kim has said is unfounded. She may be right, she may be wrong, but her work is solid. Look, this isn't rah rah. If anyone needs to calmly consider other viewpoints, it could be you. As for ivermectin, Kim was caring for family members with COVID for months. (Well, she's not Western!) She did a great radar begging for better public health guidance that was outstanding.

You have, in black and white, precisely what I think of her views, and either you don't read, or you don't understand what I wrote, for reasons I that are opaque to me. Refusing to denounce her is not cheering her. Maybe you should find the article in the NYTimes that I mentioned, it might be a reality check. You're seeing everything in terms of personalities. I don't understand how this happened. Do you not see how this approach is not working? Glenn Greenwald just posted two videos on Ukraine that are not policy positions but methodology positions -- they are a plea for cooler heads, and for understanding and resisting emotionalism. I just said Iverson recently made a video where she said Putin has larger, more sinister long range aims that include undermining the West. SHE said that. Thus, you see that possibility, too. You agree on that point. I don't understand why you don't see that this is not a time for name calling, that this is serious now. I think you do, or you wouldn't bother talking to me!
