I agree with Glenn as a matter of principle, but money runs this show. There is no viable candidate who wouldn't do what Biden is doing.

@Mman. Frankly, I'm fearful. Every aspect of the COVID response made me so, and the fact that our presidential candidates are no longer people of stature truly worries me. We take unacceptable risks with EVERYTHING now. You are supposed to overengineer, to have a cushion in the case of an unforeseeable emergency -- not to push it to the edge. And no matter what happens, money is funneled upward. That's not merit based or free market based; that's rent.

@Mman. Well, a rare bit of wonderful news: NRA v. Vullo, a victory for the First Amendment. Sotomayor for a unanimous Court. So, good things can still happen. I hope the commentary points out why this isn't about the NRA but about free speech. Really important.
