Because no one in their right mind takes medical advice from Trump in the first place. The FDA approves vaccines. Does Trump have undue influence over the FDA? If so, that's a real question. But she didn't address that. She made a bleach quip. I watched this segment several times. I think it is fundamentally sound. I think the anti-vaxxers are misrepresenting it.

@MAC_ABC That's true, but who would consent to being vaccinated based on Trump's bloviating?

We don't need this politicization of vaccines from anybody. Did you ever think people would bring large firearms to statehouses to protest public health measures? Did you ever think wearing a mask would be politicized? Did you think anyone was that crazy?

Krystal SAID Biden had the right response. An unpoliticized response. Why don't you go back and listen?

7:18 Listen for about two minutes. Sheesh.

Because Trump cannot approve the vaccine, so Harris's remarks are a non sequitur. Wait, let me back up -- we better be sure he cannot.

@belkyhernandez8281 If THAT is what Trump is doing (i.e., pressuring federal agencies to rush vaccine testing protocols), then Harris should say so. That is an extremely serious matter and could jeopardize the health of millions of people. But that wasn't what Harris said. BTW, the FDA does the testing of vaccines prior to release, and CDC monitors administration, keeping records of numbers of doses administered, adverse effects, efficacy in actual use, and so forth. Did you mean the FDA was being pressured?
1
@belkyhernandez8281 Is Harris saying we cannot trust FDA approval of a COVID vaccine as long as Trump is in office, applying pressure? I didn't hear it stated directly. If it is true that we can't trust the FDA under Trump (and the premise has to be proved, but it is not so farfetched, considering this is Trump we're talking about), then we need to know. Someone needs to say so straight up, not all giggly. She's a prosecutor, she knows what evidence is. Trump does not approve vaccines and he is not supposed to interfere with the doctors and research scientists who do.
1
@belkyhernandez8281 BUT WHO BASES MEDICAL DECISIONS on what any politician says anyway?? How crazy are we?
1
@belkyhernandez8281 If anyone has EVIDENCE of political pressure on the FDA and CDC, they need to come forward. This is no joke. We already have the worst COVID record of any major developed country, and most other countries as well. I'm not expecting it to get better.

Oh is that so? 7:18 Listen for about 2 minutes.

@nelsonartemio4218 What's up, sweetie? Trying to get other people not to click and listen?
1
@nelsonartemio4218 I always notice when there is a decided difference between what someone said and what people say they said. I do that even in the case of Trump, so with Krystal Ball it's hardly a chore. I find it easy to see through stuff.
1
@nelsonartemio4218 This, I agree with. But Krystal's points were sound, and her segment was longer than two minutes. I was simply saying that two minutes of careful listening would be enough to show that Krystal does not simply echo Saagar.

It's obvious. Everyone needs to look to what developed countries with universal health care will do. Europe, Canada, etc. We have the Internet now. We can find out and stuff.
