@Blademaster865 Unfortunately, the state legislatures withdrew support from the late, great state universities first. In 1980, it was still possible to make enough money over the summer to pay for a full year of tuition at a state school. Bring that money back.

This! It is incredibly hard to get a good job in nursing without at Bachelor's. The best hospitals were requesting an MS before the pandemic and the nursing shortage. This is the time to look for a new job, and maybe one that would pay for her degree. If she could finish a year in night school, and then go full-time for only one year to complete the degree, it might really be worth it.

@FraudSpotter24 So glad some decent, intelligent people are doing well! Yeah, people in law school have to eat, and they can't live in their van . . . weird how that is.

👏👏👏👏👏 And with all of Robby's education, your post demonstrates you are vastly more qualified to comment on the issue than he is. I mean, does he want us to conclude that higher education was wasted on him? Sorry for being so harsh, I'm a little ashamed after what you wrote, from the true human(e) perspective. He does seem to have a very easy job, though.

@lesaamoore He exposes himself for who he is when absolutely no set of facts or well-reasoned argument will get him to budge an inch from his purely ideologically-driven position. His lack of life experience is glaringly obvious in those moments, to the point where he really should be ashamed of himself. He seems like someone who could do real harm to someone twice his age without lowering his eyes. He doesn't care. (BTW, it's reading season. Feel free to suggest some books. Your writing is striking.)

@Charlotte_Martel Yes, and it is so unfair. I only hope she is not discriminated against, even now, for not having gone to college, especially since it is so much like medicine, where your real education begins in the hospital after you graduate.

I'm sorry, NOBODY whose mommy and daddy paid for their college has anything to say about this subject. This is one of those few times when they should have no place at the table.
