It's not censorship. Professional organizations do have standards.

@phantomzxro1 Exactly. It is perfectly fine to disagree with Brie, but she is not making a poor argument here. Peterson is suddenly tweeting pure abuse.

Or he can give up the license. All professional licensing is like that. Like Bri said, if you disagree, lobby against it.

@bmass0828 Forced? Why are you all talking about re-education camps? It is a professional licensing board. If Peterson goes, he can voice his opinions. If not, he can relinquish his license. It's his choice. He can take the opportunity to tell them what he thinks. Sheesh, all these agony aunts!

@TheAtos1984 I would love to know what he makes for his stammering.

@davidmun1601 The way that people go crazy about some of these gurus blows my mind. Honestly, what are they prepared to believe if he tells them to? Jump if he says jump? Peterson has been putting out the weirdest tweets that don't even sound like him, compared with when he speaks in person, on his show, or in interviews. His show is sometimes very good, when he deigns to be thoughtful. I see that, and I'm far left.

@benjaminhundley9093 I'm a lawyer. I think you're mad because you started out by attacking me, and continued with little digs, while I stuck to THE ISSUE, and of course knew about some good things Peterson has said. I even said I consider that his recent tweeting seems out of character (which it does). I think you're mad because I do know my stuff and I clearly DO NOT criticize Peterson when he's right. (Why would I? That would be weird.) Look, you can start showing some class, too. I haven't occupied the field. No one has. Knowledge isn't lost by sharing. P. S. My parents met in a refugee camp and had friends in France, so I lived there as a young adult. I don't care who cares or doesn't. I'm not taking a poll -- or selling Big Macs, or the equivalent, even though people still get rich that way. P. P. S. Blocked from my feed. Tootles.

@bmass0828 What "opinion?" He's been tweeting abuse, and it's weird. It doesn't even sound like him. Is jeering at you for your skin color, whatever that color may be, an opinion?
2
@davidmun1601 P. S. If he's too thoughtful, he won't make as much money! 🤣 or 😪 ?
2
@benjaminhundley9093 P. S. That was too easy. Maybe your maitre penseur is lacking?
2
@benjaminhundley9093 OH, you mean you think they can't get jobs?? Paris IV?? Aude Lancelin went there! This isn't America, or any of the Five Eyes, friend. 🤣🤣🤣 But I did misinterpret what you said, in the French manner. I didn't think anyone thought Paris IV grads are without work.
2
Oh really? I don't like Hasan, either, but Robby endorses that tweet because he despises Hasan? Better behavior was expected of high school seniors in my big city urban school.
2
Robby is nice? He said he didn't care about the tweet because he despises Hasan. I can't stand the guy either, but I'm not going to direct drunken tweets at him about his coloring.

She's not advising clients or seeking clients. Nor did she misrepresent anything. You're just mad because you feel that world is closed to you, when in fact anyone willing to work hard can be a lawyer.
1
@jadex0x0 That I agree with. Same for Ben Shapiro. He should take a First Amendment case every so often.
1
sherlock256 Great. Thanks for proving my point. Losing a license for refusing to participate in a class where you will have the opportunity to voice your opinions is JUST LIKE GAS CHAMBERS.
1
@Robodog69 He has the means to challenge this. He should. His lawyer can start by demanding the education be videotaped. If they say no, then audiotape. If they decline again, then taped, transcribed, and edited to protect privacy. Let's see what's going on. He has the means to make it happen.
1
@Mi_Mono We got a typical one right here.
1
@Mi_Mono The tweet they broadcast here.

@drockopotamus1 "Yeah well, I could p*ss in your mother's mouth, if I could stand to be that close to $uch a heavily experienced wh*re. Just the facts, ped0." Do you see any facts or arguments --- or thoughts, or opinions --- in the above-mentioned text? No. There are none. I hope it's reported and removed. I'll be sorry if it's not, despite the legitimate use-mention distinction I've made.
1
@drockopotamus1 Then Peterson can go to the training and expose them. He has the means to challenge this. He should. Peterson's lawyer can start by demanding that the education he is required to attend be videotaped. If they say no, then audiotape. If they decline again, then taped, transcribed, and edited to protect whatever privacy concerns they claim to have. Let's see what's going on. He has the means to make it happen. Instead of exposing what is going on, and taking a brave free speech stand to help all psychologists, including those who are not millionaires, he's going to whine about being targeted. They can't even affect his income. So what's stopping him from exposing them? You are SOOOO easily DUPED.
1
@johnnyshanksalot8358 Where did I say that? I think Epstein's client lists should be made public, Fauci and Collins should be investigated for federal crimes, and the Clintons as well, for that matter. Say, remember when certain people pretended to be clergy and ended up either stealing money or hurting little kids, and everyone covered for them for a long time, "because Jesus?" Maybe you need to be more objective about standards.
1
@johnnyshanksalot8358 Also agree about war mongers, btw.

@benjaminhundley9093 I didn't say it was a private company. Nor did I say I didn't like Jordan Peterson. I know I've said those tweets don't even sound like him, and he's doing it constantly now. Suppose this: suppose a prominent doctor starts tweeting slurs and other abuse against the unvaccinated. Have doctors gotten away with it? Yes, and I don't like it. I wouldn't yank their licenses, but would I admonish them publicly and formally? ABSOLUTELY. They should have to answer for it from their board.

I don't think Trudeau has anything to do with this. Don't let that color your view.
1
@benjaminhundley9093 Vote Trudeau out. Get rid of this WEF creature.

@benjaminhundley9093 You know where Peterson is good? He's said some great stuff about the workplace. When a person is having significant problems at work, it is crucial to identify who bears the responsibility for it. Are you doing less than what people have a right to expect of you, OR are you resented for working harder and better than others (including possibly your boss)? As someone who has done some employment law, I can tell you that this is the absolutely crucial question. You'd be surprised how often people are punished for doing a good job. Or maybe you wouldn't, lol. Not in 2023. He has said some good stuff. BTW, as a rough generalization, in the first case, you can usually deal with it by improving. In the second case, get a new job. It can destroy you if you don't.
1
@benjaminhundley9093 Then he should go in there fighting. He'll have more support than he thinks. To be honest with you, though, I would not say he's said a lot of good things. Some, for sure. I'll leave it there.

@benjaminhundley9093 J'ai une maitrise de philosophie ancienne de la Sorbonne. Peut-etre que je sais evaluer les philosophes, moi. C'est bien possible . . . Le MacDo est populaire aussi . . . 🤷🤷♀️
1
@benjaminhundley9093 Oui, je disais bonjours a tout le monde, comme toute la gauche francaise, c'est-a-dire, la vraie. Non pas comme les gens ici. J'ai du respect pour le travail.

@aalvarez2914 All I can say is look at the tweets. This is on a global platform. I know of no professional licensing entity that would be indifferent. I also have no objection to appropriate push back: you do that by attempting to change the rules governing professional ethics. He should go to the training, possibly with his attorney, and ask to record it in some way. If they refuse to videotape it, then audiotape it and provide a redacted transcript, to protect anyone's privacy who wants it protected. Then we can all see what is going on, and those affected by this board can demand changes if they believe it is being unfair. He's rich. He can do this.
