  1. ​ @edwardpi9852 When we had more taxes and more regulation of the financial sector, we also had more freedom: a minimum wage job covered the rent EVERYWHERE -- San Francisco, Seattle, Manhattan. A minimum wage job covered in-state tuition and offered health insurance. THAT was freedom, to get an advanced education, and to live where you want, try your luck in a new city.
