  2. ​@bean-spiller Those statistics are specious, and in any event do not justify removing freedom of choice. A lot of people support choice in both cases. I, for one, know no one who opposes elective abortion rights or supports vaccine mandates. Some of us actually read books on medical ethics that were published well before the pandemic.

  3. @bean-spiller  That's right. Who says living under a bridge is bad? It's just being unhoused. Camping is fun. Who says being fired from a hospital job after caring for COVID patients in 2020, having COVID, and recovering from it, is unfair? Especially if you had the job for 25 years and just need a few more to retire comfortably. Bunch of snowflakes!! Waa waa!!

  6. @Amazing_Mark  Is that a joke? You do know most of Western Europe no longer generally recommends vaccination for anyone under 50, and some countries decline to vaccinate people under 30 unless there is a compelling medical reason? But you say everyone. . . . Wow.

  7. @bean-spiller  I'm a civil rights attorney. I've read tens of thousands of pages of case law, trial transcripts, etc. I've also written screenplays. And detailed hypotheticals for ethics classes, come to think of it. You know what they say . . . When your surmise turns out so wrong, you must have started with yourself. 🤣

That was what one of the leaders of the PCF, an editor of L'Humanité, pointed out very early on concerning health care workers in France -- of course long before it occurred to any American to stand up for workers. Although I must say, it struck me quite early on as well, being into multiculturalism and all. Yes, I also speak French. Now I've really upset you.
