A state college near me, located in a diverse big city neighborhood, used to have tons of excellent foreign language classes and a rich program for Spanish majors and minors with outstanding profs. It has "had to" grossly cut back on classes. But now they say "Latinx." (They also built a new luxury dorm, that is mostly empty. Coincidence?)

  3. No, it's about crawling over people and getting to the top the easy way -- not by making yourself excellent, but by destroying everyone in your way. I saw that pattern well before the adoption of wokism. When wokism stops working, watch for the substitute.

  6.  @marktrain9498  The single most common major, by FAR, is Business Administration, and has been for about 30 years. Next, come all the health sciences, with Nursing on top. "Weird" degrees (like Gender Studies) account for less than 1% of degrees conferred in a typical year. This is news to you? A Gender Studies major who knows photography and is a decent copywriter or can do web design will have a career in Fashion Merchandising. The Business major will need to pay him well.
