As for privatization, you must not know of all the charter schools that funneled money to founders, then collapsed. Still, I would make all tuition, preschool through doctoral studies, tax deductible, for everyone. Even Musk.

They didn't in my state. I drive past public and private schools every day. The private schools reopened in the fall of 2020, and had a long holiday break (almost two months) with remote learning. This is wise generally, because kids get very sick from flu and other diseases as well during that time.

@OvercomeEverythingJosh Really? In my state, they provided almost 37% of the necessary funding for IDEA in 2020, under the first Trump administration, and my state did not vote for Trump.

@OvercomeEverythingJosh Just about every state gets about 30 to 40% of its funding to educate disabled kids from the federal government. I guess you didn't know. My state pays more to the federal government than it gets back.

@deadgolfer6345 Are you kidding? In Europe, those schools all get PUBLIC funding. I know most countries have national Ministries of Education that set standards for what a diploma has to mean.

I wasn't good in math as a kid, then something clicked and I was great at certain branches of math. Why am I not surprised that Robby gave up on math? 😂😂😂

@scottmcloughlin4371 If you can give me keywords for finding a study that compares private school and public school academic achievement by decile of parents' income, I will download it and read it right now. We know based on results in other countries that public education open to all can be outstanding, but often is not. The reasons why are rarely simple, and intangibles like respect for the teaching profession play a role.
