  1. "Work Requirements" aren't there to help rehabilitate people who are struggling with the perverse labor market. They are punitive. Our state used to employ social workers to assist job applicants five days per week, back when good jobs for those with lower skills were relatively plentiful and when low income people didn't have to struggle with algorithms. Where is the necessary assistance now? Put funds there.
