I see your point, but Ye isn't well, and it is of the greatest importance that he be persuaded to get treatment, that he have a SAY about treatment, and that the principle of first do no harm is respected for every person. The risk to Ye is greater than for most, because he is an artist and has no other way to make a living, so in the sense that he has a lot to lose and no way to get it back, he faces greater risk than average. Unwell people often suffer from inferior care and even malpractice, no matter how much money they have.

@theycontroltheleftandtheri3705 Not true. He really is not well, and is being exploited like mad.
5
Ye is being exploited, but he seems not to know by whom or how to fight back. He is very intelligent and talented, which is obscured by a very serious mental illness he suffers from, and he is being treated like a carnival freak. His life is in danger because of his bipolar disorder, and people are more fixated on parsing this outrageous statement or that outrageous statement. The man is not well. Someone should care.

@libertreee1 Please elaborate. Jewish people certainly are not the only "diaspora people," assuming that is a valid category label in the first place.

@quesocoatl21 Which group would that be? I haven't a clue what you mean. Evidence?
1
@AnaLucia-wy2ii Maybe. I feel for him. I don't care for Tim Pool, however. He got an interview on Lex Fridman, and I don't know what possessed him to go on Pool afterwards -- because of Trump? No one should do anything because of Trump.
1
No, it's the opposite. To treat him this way, as some sort of new poster boy for badness, is what is exploitative, because he does suffer from BPD, a serious condition not exactly rare among writers and artists.

Ye happens to be very intelligent, and unwell.
1
@josephmassaro Well, I've actually listened to Ye when he has been lucid, and he is very intelligent.

I hate how he is being treated. Where are the people who, like Freud, would never have judged him but would have treated him? Victor Frankl, all the great Jewish psychiatrists and psychoanalysts were like that, truly cosmopolitan in the very best tradition and outstanding clinicians as well.

Self-reflection isn't the problem. If he could do that, he wouldn't be in this predicament. And yoga is an adjunct to therapy, but he needs more intensive treatment. Hunting is the last thing a person with BPD should do.

@JudithRudyonald What difference would that make if he suffers from psychotic episodes? I'd trade mental stability for money any day. I hope that's obvious?
1
@JudithRudyonald Nope, trilingual Paris IV grad, ancient philosophy. But les amerloques are slow on the uptake.
1
@JudithRudyonald Oh now I get it. Mental instability is endemic over by you, so you may as well be rich. If you can't fix the first, at least grab the second. Makes utilitarian sense, you're right.
1
@JudithRudyonald And you go through some strange screen names for some reason. It never crosses my mind to use the words you apply to yourself.

@houseofvoid2153 I didn't say he was "crazy." Blocked.
1
@AnaLucia-wy2ii I agree. It is very unfair.

chad5852 I wish. Distant paternal ancestors, both parents. That isn't Jewish. Blocked, btw.
