@hybridblack Well, the fact that UK media (including conservatives) and German media (including conservatives) saw it that way makes no difference? Look, Europeans may be more capable of recognizing it, OR too prone to see it where it doesn't exist, for obvious reasons, but to act as though this is a stunning take is ridiculous. Niall is European. Maybe you can't do salutes like that over there. They don't have a First Amendment.

See what European news reported. (That's a good idea in any case, for most stuff.) They saw it that way. Maybe they are more familiar with it.

The UK stations I listened to, including conservative ones, saw it the way Niall did. Some Germans writing comments did, too. Might be cultural. You'll give Musk a break. It's your right to do so. But not Niall? That's odd. Why not?

The UK stations I listened to, including conservatives, saw it the same as Niall did. Maybe they are more familiar with it? Or maybe they are too quick to see it? Not illogical. Not derangement.

@WileyHickok Well, they could be wrong. They could be too quick to see it when it's not really there, for obvious cultural reasons. They also don't have the free speech and expression that we do. But for anyone to suggest that only "deranged lunatics" saw it, the way Robby just did, is unimpressive. It's more like Musk can buy the reputation wants, isn't it?

Are commentators in the UK and Germany resentful of Musk's influence and looking to smear him?
