@haileyjsb3955 No Euro left embraces any of this garbage. Corbyn and Melenchon are anti-passport and anti-mandate, the CGT organized a demonstration of vaccinated health care workers in support of their unvaccinated colleagues and against mandates. The left I follow is a lot like Kim.

J-L Melenchon embraced the yellow vests. Members of the French Communist Party and people who vote in the National Assemby embraced the yellow vests. American media doesn't report real news from abroad for a reason.

@floydblandston108 Because my memory isn't shot, like yours? Or because now you can't figure out where I line up based on what I've just said?

The "liberals," so-called, are elitist haters and money hoarders. They have the power they do because Silicon Valley and Wall Street/Redmond.

These "cultural progressives" haved presided over the creation of the world's largest penal colony, perjury and plea bargaining as the norm, debt for college that exceeds the downpayment on a nice house, a broken health care system, and the gap between rich and poor growing to the largest it has ever been. I have an idea. Let's cancel people over pronouns.

@floydblandston108 Punishment for following your CONSCIENCE? When you are proposing punishment, it used to be that the burden was on you to explain and justify such a severe intrusion. But since we have the world's largest penal colony, perjury is the norm, and most pleas are bargained, I guess that noble principle is on its last legs.

@floydblandston108 Oh! Well then! Actually, that's a bedrock principle of criminal procedure. In fact, we just saw it applied in a pretty shocking way when the gun charge against Kyle Rittenhouse was dropped. Or, consider that the Boston Marathon bomber got a hospital bed.

@floydblandston108 Your question was, when has the principle I invoked ever been applied? My response was twofold: first, it should be, America as penal colony aside; and second, I provided examples where it was followed that I thought you might be familiar with, given your obvious level of knowledge of constitutional law. You follow? No?

@floydblandston108 Back to the point: the proponent of punishment has the burden of proof that the alleged transgression is one, that punishment is warranted, proportionate, and that it does not violate fundamental rights. Good luck with all that.

NYT Paul Krugman just lined up full force with the "Canadian truckers = January 6" mob. By "mob," I mean the mob that believes such rot.
