@twoshedsjohnson8540 If they were advocates of limited government, they wouldn't be deciding the other cases Briahna mentioned the way they did. When all the "mistakes" go in one direction, and curtail individual liberties "just a little bit" each time, then it's time to pay attention.

By the way, did you realize Depp v. Heard was a First Amendment case? The Petito family against the Laundries is a Fifth Amendment case. I know when not to cheer.

This is true, but this allegiance was imputed to them automatically -- which is to say that they were not treated as individuals, which is to say they were discriminated against, as everyone else assumed they were either openly or secretly loyal to Rome, and that anything any one Catholic might say to the contrary was pure ruse. That's the problem. IF someone actually is loyal to Rome, and wants to impose the Pope's encyclicals on the rest of us not by persuasion but by using state power (!!!), believe me, I'll be the first not to like it.
