  6.  @peetky8645  No one willingly signs noncompetition agreements -- well, absent a big bonus -- and they aren't always enforceable. You can see how they could be structured just to shut people up. That could be acting in bad faith or against public policy or both.

  9.  @peetky8645  Right. You were coerced into signing. You didn't want to. It's not in YOUR best interest. Did you ever consult an employment lawyer, plaintiff's side, about it? A lot are unenforceable. Basically what you can't do is quit for a better offer after gaining access to sensitive materials, trade secrets, and other stuff not protected by copyrights, patents, etc.
