  1. This is what I could never understand: our lack of universal health care is headwinds for starting YOUR OWN BUSINESS. We are LESS autonomous than people in other countries. A free market needs a "commons." Adam Smith said so. This idea is SO not radical.

  2.  @kkay3784  Thanks. Chomsky quotes him all the time! The modern-day commons is clean air and water for all, and healthcare for all. The insurance companies are a rentier class, standing between us and doctors and getting a cut. If an insurance company CEO gets a multi-million dollar bonus, something is wrong.
