  3.  @Blissfulkitty-Seattle  The argument that he will allow speech to the full extent of a country's laws is not a bad one, but when he removes some accounts at any government's bidding, I agree that we are all deprived from seeing the content.

  6. ​ @kass8036  The stuff about Turkey is not a major issue, to my mind. I think proven defamation, etc. (actually proven in court) should have to be removed here, but Section 230 has been held not to require it. The plarforms protected by that section can do what they want.

  11. If he censored Matt Taibbi, then he is a hypocrite. The stuff about Turkey is not a major issue for me. I think proven defamation (proven in court) should be able to be removed here, as well, but a Section 230 protected platform hasn't had to if they don't want to.

  14.  @ChitMusik  My basic point is that some things, like proven defamation, should have to be removed once adjudicated. But social media companies have no such obligation. So, no, if some other country has such laws, I'm not reflexively against that.
