My mother had an employee stock ownership program where she worked for over 30 years, in addition to a pension that would not pay to feed our cocker spaniel. Then the company she worked for was bought out by BP PLC. We know what happened in the Gulf, and who died, and who suffered financially. We also know who got a new job, forming a hedge fund with a Rothschild, and made vastly more money than he did as CEO with BP. Tony. Tony Hayward did. He also sold off a ton of BP stock a few months before the well blew. Smart move on his part. He's a very hard worker. That proves it.

@brandonb5075 These people were dependent on stock dividends in place of real pensions. The pensions were about $750 per month, if that. And if they took cash, they would have to pay taxes on a lump sum.
