@ozjohn8657 You cannot label the event a "barricade" and wait the better part of an hour. I just explained to you how police should have distracted him, with two five-person teams. What you are describing is not an option during a mass shooting of minor children. Maybe you think it should be. Take it up with your congressman.

@ozjohn8657 They do know the standard protocol, because it is public information, as it was widely debated prior to its adoption. They can also read and think, and spot contradictions in a discourse (such as the patently false insinuation that there were no living children left in the classroom to save). The protocol is that once they can form a unit of two to five officers (number is discretionary), they are obligated to go in, if not through the door then through the window, while the gunman is still at door and distracted. Or, those at the window distract the gunman from the door. So, they needed ten officers, five per unit. Those pesky public disclosure laws! They've ruined America!
