  1. ​@robinsparkles1582 First of all, the rhetoric is misleading; if someone is not good, you don't say they are the best or the most, but the least bad. (See, for example Plato, Gorgias. Seeing through this sophistical move is really old.) Second, before Reagan (and since the Great Depression), all presidents were much more attuned to union concerns. A huge chunk of the labor force was unionized. Of course they paid attention. They did when they had to.
