  2. It's certain. We had it confirmed by our own government that it funds biolabs in Ukraine through the Department of Defense. We only the other day had Joe Biden sign something that supposedly put the moratorium on funding gain of function back in place.

  4. ​@astronautical1082 Immunity from liability for vaccine injuries, full patent protection, and mandates -- even with proof that a vaccine prevents transmission, but certainly when that was not true and was not even part of the clinical trial -- are radically inconsistent positions. Jonas Salk tested the polio vaccine on himself and declined to pursue patent protection. The swine flu vaccine was withdrawn in 1976 for one case of Guillain Barre per 100,000 innoculations.

  5. ​ @astronautical1082 Exactly --- the Precautionary Principle places the burden of proof of SAFETY and EFFECTIVENESS squarely on the drug manufacturer, which includes continuous monitoring for both. The burden is not on the patient. Patients retain the right to refuse any medical intervention. See, e.g., George Annas on the ethics of vaccine mandates. Try consulting a book written after the anthrax attacks but before 2020, if you care about objectivity.

  7. ​ @m____w____6981 Are you kidding?? Trump and Fauci played good cop, bad cop, and Trump let Fauci effectively subvert the Bill of Rights and run our lives. It was Obama who signed a moratorium on gain-of-function research, and Fauci and company immediately took to figuring out ways to subvert it. Then Trump just rescinded it. Still no clear explanation why. Someone flattered him just right and put a piece of paper in front of him.
