Are Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube censors experts?

The soundbite was ill-chosen, but his point about appeal to authority could have been made, cleanly and with a little gravitas. It applies to the censors even more, as he himself concedes.

@darkthingswithmarkdavis4497 You can even find Fauci contradicting himself in a single interview. Please explain to me the censorship. I thought what we needed was spirited engagement. I, for one, don't like to see two or three people with the same views and a host who makes nice. And then censorship by media entities who don't like what's been said. These people should go on a program with Fauci, and talk science. You won't see it happen.

@BobWidlefish Exactly. The only honest scientists readily admit the limits of their knowledge. The rest float soundbites, with a eye on future NIH funding.

@darkthingswithmarkdavis4497 I should believe you. Got it.

@presidentresident THIS Thank you.

@darkthingswithmarkdavis4497 I would welcome a long-format discussion. The point is, that is what is necessary. You don't know who is right. I find contradictions in every discourse that has been served up so far, including theirs, which does not make for confidence.

@darkthingswithmarkdavis4497 "Get owned," huh? Check the Thirteenth Amendment. Your soundbites are brilliant. /s You don't even know whose slogans have wormed their way into your mind, you just repeat them.

One more example of how the West benefitted from the existence of the Soviet Union. Back then, you HAD to invite scientists with differing views on a given topic to engage in spirited debate, on all the major networks. Everyone was held to a standard. Now the only $tandard i$, well, you know.

Great choice of guest for this topic.
