  4. These hearings are cosplay. Amazon is about to get immunity from suit for the COVID issues in dozens of its warehouses. That's what count$. Why shouldn't Bezos be candid? Why should having to answer questions be a problem? Is anyone going to take away the toll booth? No.

  5. I knew they were slime, and spied on us and manipulated us, but I had no idea they routinely stole from their own. I thought they were more careful about what laws they violated, or bought better laws in the first place. Skipping that step might mean trouble. Congress didn't get its full cut.

  6. No, you're right. That is an answer that will not get him in trouble. What could get him in trouble -- poor sanitation in warehouses -- is about to get immunized from suit. Amazon will not be responsible if a worker contracts COVID at work, even if he could prove it, which would be hard to do in the first place. But proof won't matter. That's what immunity is. The rest of this is cosplay.
