Sadly. It's the only thing the defense got right, frankly. Overall disgraceful display by the defense, but he was right about this. :/

The only thing I find appropriate in this generally disgraceful and utterly misleading defense is the assertion that the jury needed to be sequestered. That is asking a LOT during COVID, but this country has the means to provide the jury with a very comfortable and very safe sequestration. Probably would have been better for them as well, in the long run. Shows you what we value.

@dfinite1111 That may be true, but if you've never served on a jury, tried a case, or observed an actual trial, you may be overestimating the influence of media. The courtroom becomes a different world, one in which all the participants focus intensely on the evidence. Not every single time, but most of the time. Sequestration was needed here. It would have helped everyone, jurors included.
