  1. In a normal year, possibly . . . You forget the anomalous voting process, mail-in ballots lasting months. And Trump ran a poor campaign. He addressed COVID poorly. He needed to replace Fauci, not lift the moratorium on gain of function research funding at his suggestion.

  3.  @gordonschiff3621  True. We can't compare it with other elections. It was a statistical anomaly. The last time Dems won an election like it was 1960, and that election had legitimate doubts surrounding it BUT it's not really comparable -- the South still voted Democrat in 1960. We don't know what would have happened.
