Getting rid of Trump does nothing to change what caused Trump. But not holding him and his gauleiters to account, while robbing the rest of us of yet more of our civil liberties, is the worst possible outcome. Trump better not get away from this, too. That would be TERRIBLE.

Which one directly undermines the Constitution?

@RedXlV A major motivating factor, definitely; a reason why they believe they are entitled to more than they have, and can count on impunity for what they did. After all, it's "their" country. /s

@amandap9332 Thank you. Very well said.

@barefootprofessor3455 There is plenty of latent racism simmering everywhere, but when do they pass from fuming to acting? In the case of fascist and fascist-type movements, the pattern is always the same. The very poorest people never join, as they know it is futile. Those of the lower middle class who took for granted that they would have much better lives and are now seeing basic security slip away are the ones who are easily enraged. BTW, If you think "no one controls the economy" like no one controls sun spots, you've got some reading to do. What do you think happened in 2008-2011, and why? Or just now, for that matter.

Oh, "Red Brown rabbit hole!" So here it is, unveiled, the brand spankin' new, and vastly more effective, talking point! . . . I'm so scared! It was easier to undermine Sanders (with "Bernie Bros") and even Jeremy Corbin (with alleged ANTI-SEMITISM), than it is to neutralize Gray Zone and even Jimmy Dore. You need bigger guns, more indirection, to take down the tough crowd.

@climatecrisisdragon3628 I simply adore calomny, especially when presented with zero facts and zero arguments. Because that's not dangerous. Obviously. /s Double down, double down. I'll have to hurry over and find more. Because we don't do thought, we do advertising.

@CaliMeatWagon In which language? I know what you meant. And I know you have no answer to my question, hence insults are a ready substitute. Do you even know the difference any more?
1
@CaliMeatWagon I don't believe that's the cause at all, it's just convenient cover for what would have happened in any case. The summer protests may have swelled the ranks of this mob somewhat, but its core decided a long time ago to consider the election fraudulent if Biden won. They didn't seek permission to do what they did. Biden and Harris have always been exponents of the carceral state. Forcing small businesses shut with no solid, meaningful plan for keeping them afloat was the dirtiest and most immoral thing this government ever did. Literally no other country treated its citizens this way. This show and a few others, and Angela Marsden, can tell you what underlies these events.
1
@CaliMeatWagon You know what? Then you are right. I don't understand.

"PIVOT" (said some Republican Trump lackey/apologist) "Pivot!!!" Why are you trying to make me throw up? I'm tired.

True, and up voted. But Trump MUST not get away with this. The neolibs cannot cower, slither away, and tend their friggin' "portfolios." And then push another version of Russiagate and cash in on that, too. Because that's what they do, instead of taking a real stand. They act based on their bottom line.

MSM crying wolf was a grave mistake, and a distraction, true. Enough real wolves are at the door now.
1
@nm515 The point is, the neoliberal MSM has been demonstrably lying about Trump and exaggerating about Trump. Most level headed people knew that was risky. It was implying that his actual misdeeds must not be so bad, if you have to exaggerate. Well, it turns out he was much more dangerous than most people thought. If the DNC appreciated the risk, why didn't they start getting ready to beat him right after he got elected in 2016? Why didn't they run a better candidate and better campaign? This election should have been a LANDSLIDE for the Democrats, a totally decisive win. You must know it wasn't. Do the math.

Americans value what pays. "You're just jealous." /s

@barefootprofessor3455 Nothing to do with the economic situation? You have GOT to be kidding. Wow are you whistling in the dark.

@abahub6772 I doubt that most teachers are competent to teach critical thinking, and that most students can recognize whether it is being taught. In place of philosophy, literature, great theatre and film, we have advertising. We value what pays.

@xhawkeye8717 Remember that George Carlin gave up on America. Literally.

@xhawkeye8717 Hey. I can't say no. Wish that it weren't . . .
