  1. Everyone I know wanted to be at home until their kids were well-established in grammar school, and then wanted to work after that. Most moms, even of toddlers, liked working part-time. No one I ever knew with children under the age of 5 wanted to work full time, or stay home full time. Literally no one. Necessity drives most people. You focus on the few with choices, and jeer at them.

  2. I have never met a single woman who wants to be "at home with the kids" who are 12 and 15 years old. With preschoolers, everyone did.
