  1. I agree with you. Censorship is not the answer. I only want to highlight one thing: we haven't yet grappled with the environment created by the new media. Part of the reason is that it is much too new. But we are going to have to discuss these issues --- and the irony is that the new media seems to be undermining rational discussion.

  6. @rt-uh6mt  If it is objectively a threat of imminent unwanted physical contact, that would be assault, but that was not clear-cut from what I saw.

  8. I agree that censorship is not the answer. I support "maximalist" (so-called) views on First Amendment freedoms. I only want to highlight one thing: we haven't yet grappled with the environment created by the new media. Part of the reason is that it is much too new. We are going to have to examine these issues sometime --- and the irony is that the new media seems to be undermining our ability to discuss them calmly and rationally. But the new media does seem good at addicting people and spawning new billionaires. That's no problem.
