  1. They stated no one else besides Rittenhouse killed or injured anyone. Apparently, guns are ubiquitous in Wisconsin, and carrying them is ordinary. That's where the focus should be, not on an underage kid who should never have been tried as an adult in the first place. Scrutinize the adults around him, starting with the police.

  4.  @jackgranger6539  Apologies. Rittenhouse sustained significant injuries after he shot Rosenbaum. No one else was shot or killed except those shot by Rittenhouse.

  5.  @jackgranger6539  They did not talk about local laws or customs very much. They talked about the wider implications of the case for the concept of provocation and self-defense. If a full generation after Columbine, Wisconsin's legislature was incapable of drafting a sensible, constitutional gun law with respect to minors and with respect to open carry, well . . . Rittenhouse isn't to blame, is he? If you don't care, I don't, either.

Lawyers can be activists, and are allowed to comment on what they think a case will mean for future cases, or what they think the law should be. If you think this segment should have analyzed this case, and stayed there, you have a right to your opinion. I think juveniles should not be charged as adults, and said so from the very first, last summer. A lot of people were surprised, and admitted, finally, that kids shouldn't be charged this way -- if not never, then really, really rarely. I would have never brought this case. That is an activist position. I'm an activist, then. (So?)
