Question: why do doctors wear masks? Answer: to protect you, not them.

Kevo Heavo I think the people whose panties are in a bunch about having to put on a mask to protect others from their SPIT are sorry losers. Boo effin' HOO. I also think you meme too much. You need an editor. :D
7
This was great. The need for humor has never been greater.
5
Yeah, and we hate you, too. :D
5
Oh. Oh. Are liberals OPPRESSING you? Again? C'mon sweetie-kins. You can tell Mommy.

@becomeselfsufficient Masks do prevent facial recognition software and street cameras from recognizing you. Are you SURE the government likes masks as much as you think it does? If I remember correctly, we were supposed to give in to facial recognition software, to be "modern."
4
Kevo Heavo I tossed off a line, you wrote a friggin' essay. I think we're even.
4
Well, it prevents all the facial recognition software from practicing on us, so there's that. /s
4
@blueseaview 22 True, the ones doctors use do protect them, too.
4
@becomeselfsufficient They can't implant a chip in you legally without your permission. It is a Fourth Amendment violation. But cameras on public streets, where you voluntarily expose yourself, are legal under the Fourth Amendment. Masks defeat cameras and any other facial recognition technologies.

@galarius That's what I said. So, why anywhere?
3
Diginess Unknown Don't be ridiculous. I'll never be anywhere near your home. I don't care what you do.
3
@doseofreality420marianetti2 Oh wow. No. I didn't know.
3
@paddleduck5328 Should I have added a sarcasm alert? :D Funnier with it!
3
@fifthwallradio5477 NOBODY likes wearing a mask. We do it anyway.
3
@blueseaview 22 Agreed. Whether they protect the wearer as much as they protect the people around him is the only difference. But any mask you wear protects others.
3
@DaPrecursor Well GOOD GRIEF, the "government" does have laws against indecent exposure, so it certainly can make you cover parts of your body.
2
Have you ever heard of random sampling?

Then why are masks mandatory on public transit in Holland?
2
@galarius I looked up the rules for visitors the government website of the Netherlands has posted. It said that masks are required when using public transit, but not otherwise. A person gets vaccinated primarily to protect themselves, and they wear a mask primarily to prevent transmission from themselves to other people, so the two are not comparable. The major hospital where my doctor practices will not let anyone come in without stopping at the door to use hand sanitizer, and without putting on a fresh mask that they provide. They have a person at the door to ensure compliance. If you believe it's cosplay, find a hospital that doesn't do that. By the way, are you a doctor?
2
Kevo Heavo I am relieved to see you get the joke. Whew!
2
@Alive Minds Run Yes we have looked at the science.
2
@brian4019 There is NOTHING you can present to someone like this that will convince them. Once you prove one statement, they will jump to something else, equally false, that "proves" they are right after all. Trying to persuade them otherwise is on a par with trying to persuade Jim Jones not to commit mass murder-suicide.
2
@Tyler Zacher To be fair, vigilance around any Fourth Amendment right we still have is fully warranted. All the more reason not to fall for paranoia spread by attention-seekers, because it undermines the legitimate struggle against further erosion of our rights. It is also true that tech devices are deliberately engineered to trigger addictive behavior. So, he was right about that.
