They all had colonialism. Monarchies survived the feudal age. But I agree about precision in history. Can't say it's so obvious Robbie appreciates it. Brie pointed out how capitalism made money from slavery without qualms. As did German industry from supplying the death camps. As did the Swiss banks of that period, serving the Nazis.

@joshuamylesgibson Capitalism cares about one thing only, and it is amoral. If an ad man for fast food becomes a millionaire and history profs struggle, the former is a success, the latter needed to go into something else.

@VTAcraft In working class high schools? I found out in my 30s, from an interview on PBS with a military historian from Oxford. That got me reading . . .

@VTAcraft I learned about the defeat of the Wehrmacht by the Red Army from an Oxford historian, correct. That historical fact is uncontested.
