@art-gx7qp A ten-year-old girl had to travel to get an abortion. A woman with a grievously deformed fetus (no skull) had to travel to get an abortion. I think normal people know what harm means.

@obamavariant9128 Not necessarily. It depends on what is safe to do under the circumstances, from the standpoint of the least possible burden on the woman's health.

When I lived in France, universal health insurance paid 100% for pregnancies (they sent every woman a check for maternity clothes, nevermind medical care), but only 70% for elective abortion. The discrepancy was considered harsh by some. The limit was 12 weeks, but a three-doctor panel would grant abortion for medical reason for all kinds of humane reasons -- mental health right at the top of the list. No one made a psychotic woman carry a pregnancy if it was harming her. They weren't freaking ghouls.

That was the result of Dodds, not the principle. The principle is that the Constitution does not protect the right to elective abortion.
