@visconti8236 Saying they can make a choice about their future reproductive health and their future romantic lives before they have grown up physically and psychologically is an example. How could they know what they may be giving up? They are not supposed to know.

@bashmusic023 How so? The right to found one's own family someday is considered a fundamental human right. It's part of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. The opportunity is supposed to be preserved for all people, so that they can decide for themselves when the time comes. Trying to say there is something perverse about human rights is a deflection, to scare people away from the issue. I remember when people looked askance at mentions of Jeffrey Epstein. The people who talked about him were accused of voyeurism, until he was finally arrested in New York.

@matthawthorn3461 Advertising slogans are part and parcel of the capitalist stage of political economy, along with the gutting of broad public education. It's no accident that actual Marxists in France support the wide availability of Latin and Greek in public school, and insist that all students be trained in critical thinking. The first person I heard strongly object to firing health care workers who refused the experimental COVID vaccines, pointing out they risked their lives to care for people and had acquired immunity through that exposure, was a member of the French Communist Party.
