"Transgenderism" is a very vague label for an ideological position the contours of which are poorly defined. The only thing people clearly agree with is that you DO NOT make this part of the public school curriculum before senior year in high school. Concentrate on anti-bullying. Every child should feel welcome in public school.

@BoiseLou It's simple. All bullying should be banned. You don't have to discuss private parts to do that. Nor do you need to offer a course in abnormal psychology. A boy comes to school in a dress? So what? Your options are to be friendly, gracious, or to leave him alone. That checks all the boxes.

@criticalhomer Well, supposing that it is true, as it very well may be, the answer is the same. It's the job of administrators and teachers to protect vulnerable students without singling them out and making them feel conspicuous or self-conscious. Do kids need a trans lesson? NO. No more divisiveness. If a black child is bullied on account of race, do you think melanocyte lessons are in order? Or some kind of insipid discourse on Good Personhood? Neither of us would make that mistake. Either stop the bullying or call in the parents and threaten expulsion.

@comyuse9103 Yup. People who don't think it's true need to read David Goggins. He was constantly bullied -- in the 1990s. And he credits whites for his opportunities as well. The dude has no race prejudice. He just hates injustice, but refuses to use it as an excuse.
