  1. @Jake  You have a point. I support some sort of debt relief, given that Senator Biden made sure these loans could never, ever be discharged in bankruptcy, but there is a need for comprehensive solutions. You know, there was a time not so long ago when a summer job paid enough to cover a full year of in-state tuition. Private universities cost less back then, too, for obvious reasons. Of course federal loans have had the effect of driving up prices.

  2. I knew not to believe anything that comes out of Biden's mouth. Even Briahna makes it clear at every opportunity that she DID NOT vote for him. Biden is the one who made student loans nondischargeable in bankruptcy under any circumstances.

That's what they get for causing the tech bubble, 9/11, and the Wall Street subprime mortgage debacle. And look at them now! Unleashing COVID on the world, and complaining about myocarditis from the wonder drugs the pharmaceutical companies have bestowed on us. Of course they "failed reality." Obvious.

  9. The most common major BY FAR is Business, and has been for 30+ years. What do you think is going on? Do you think everyone suddenly has a passion for Business? No, they study something they don't care about just to have a job. Funny how that does not lead to excellence. Who would have thought? /s

  10. There are laws against repo for a car proven to be necessary for transportation to work, and for tools of trade. There is no bankruptcy discharge of these student loans, no matter what -- thanks to Senator Biden.

  11. @PurpleMatter  In many states, you have special protections for your primary domicile and for your place of business. You seem to think the law is more categoric than it is. Inform yourself.

  12.  @purplematteronly  Because the federal government made these loans impossible to discharge in bankruptcy and because it shut down the economy during the pandemic and caused major distress to young people in particular.

  15. The single most common major for at LEAST 30 years is Business. Next come medical fields, with Nursing in first place. What did you think people have been studying? People with so-called "garbage majors" typically go on for an MBA, MPA, MSW, MFA, MLS, PhD, and JD.

It imposed the brunt of its own mistakes on me and mine, as is the case for most people outside of its coterie of privileged few.
