  1.  @marty3015  I guess when it comes to school shootings, we also have to be the only society that has to classify them based on victim, perpetrator, weapon type, four or more casualties, three or fewer. No problem. I grant the point.

  2.  @josephburchanowski4636  Fair point. I think they want to underline that guns are ubiquitous around schools, when they should never be there because of all the school zone laws. But you are right, it is misleading. (I wish we could agree on strict COVID death definitions, too.)

  6.  @marty3015  You are correct, they were not mass shootings in addition to being shootings on or in the immediate vicinity of school property, in school zones.

  7. Not when they find out the facts. Most of the proposals are one more way of telling the ordinary person that they don't count, and if they are harmed, they have to eat it. The other side of low regulation and low government interference is allowing those few who are harmed to seek specific, provable damages.

  8. Wrong starting point: we have a lot of mass shootings. Far too many happen at school.
