  2. That anyone would advocate banning a book against permanent gender reassignment for minors should chill you to the bone. This is something we can't read, and criticize where it merits criticism? This? These treatments run a risk of permanently sterilizing trans youth before they are old enough to make that decision. My God. It wasn't so long ago that there were policies in place to prevent LGBTQ people from becoming parents.

  3.  @neiladlington950  I strongly recommend Nadine Strossen's book on that. Anyone who thinks they are wise enough to institute censorship needs to deal with the facts and the arguments she presents. Then come and tell us how that's going to work.

  9. Should Black Lives Matter have its rights curtailed because the world contains violent anarchists who invade the demonstration and go on arson sprees? Then anyone can stop anyone from demonstrating, just by inflitrating the demonstration and committing violent acts.

  10.  Bugler55  I'm thinking about what you said, and I just can't see it. Denounce the book? Sure, why not? A person can credibly condemn anything they've read and consider to be ill-conceived and oppressive. But ban? Based on what? Do we go back and burn Henry Miller? Or how about Zola?
